My first lecture in India started at the premier Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, the first of the IITs to be established by India government in 1951. This large, bustling campus is located ~ 2.5 hours west of Kolkata, and was the site of a former British prisons.
Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I am amazed at how our science connects us!
